1. List every major character. For each, write a one sentence summary of how they have changed since the beginning of the book.
2. From what you've read thus far, what do you think Hersey's belief about the atomic bomb is? Support your answer with textual evidence from our book.
3. Write a one sentence overview of pages 30-60.

2. After reading the first 30 pages, how does Hersey (the author) use foreshadowing to build suspense?
3. Write a one sentence overview of the first 30 pages.

1. What is the author arguing and does he have a strong argument? Who is the audience and how does the author write specifically to that audience? Finally, do you agree with author's argument? Why or why not?

 

2. Respond to at least one other comment from one of your classmates. Agree or disagree with them respectfully and explain your rationale. Try to comment on a post that has an opinion you don't agree with and articulate WHY you don't agree.
